Nostalgic Journey Into Childhood Memories. Part one, The 1980s, was conceived by childhood memories and what still interests me today.
After spending a few weeks collating notes, and various toys that I still own from a child, speaking to people about their childhood memories and sourcing further items of interest, I decided to create this digital collage piece to try and encapsulate what made being a 1980s kid great!
The piece was intentionally a darker, disproportional piece as this was to represent digging deeper into my memory. Only a few things are prominent for me, so it took a great deal of searching the memories, and also, once one thing came up, it triggered another happy recollection. I did not want it to look like a shop window advertisement, so I chose a mismatched feel.
I can imagine other 1980s kids saying that I had missed this or that off my piece, but I could probably create ten versions of this piece, each with different content and still not give the 1980s the credit it deserves. It was an amazing decade!!
I plan further pieces in this range, with my next planned piece being based on the television programmes and advert indents of this period. After this, I feel I will go with a sci-fi feel piece before progressing into the 1990s.

If you have agreed a return of your artwork with me please ensure it is in the correct packaging and safely returned either in person or via courier. If you would like me to arrange collection, I can deduct shipping cost from the refund value for you and action a refund once the artwork is safely back with me.
Should your piece of art arrive damaged, I will of course cover the returns cost

All pieces will be sent fully tracked and insured in reinforced tubes, clearly labelled FRAGILE. A flat UK shiping rate of £6.50 will apply to your order. multiple orders will only pay the one postage cost if shipped together in one tube.
